Mahatma Ghandi once said, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
I like to think that if Christ did come back to Earth.. he wouldn't be at church. He would be out on the streets, in the bars, with the lost, the homeless, the broken, telling them that they are loved. I want to me more like that. I want to give people hope. I want to show people love. A lot of times I feel like I have to hide my faith because I think people will get the same feeling I use to get. It's weird living in a society where it's totally normal to worship men/women, media, violence, brands, money, sex, etc... but the second someone speaks out about their faith everyone gets uncomfortable. My goal is to be a light for others and to see the light in others and pretend that is all I see, because let's face it... It is extremely hard to be human.. So how do you live authentically? First, you need to be honest with other people... but more importantly you need to be honest with yourself. So who are you? If you are putting on a "show" for others... people might not ever get to know you. Be you. Do you. Be honest. That's what I'm working on.
